*Colgate-Palmolive (India)* disclosed a good increase in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008, due to better sales volume, high operating margins and low interest cost.
During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 28.56% to Rs 777.40 million from Rs 604.70 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter rose 18.52% to Rs 4,355.60 million, while total income for the quarter rose 13.25% to Rs 4,420.60 million, when compared with the prior year period.
