*Lanco Infratech* disclosed a sharp rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended December 2008.
During the quarter, the profit of the company rises marginally 0.42% over prior year period to Rs 798.79 million from Rs 795.44 million in the same quarter last year. Consolidated total income increased 2.41 times from Rs 18,395.86 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2007 to Rs 7,633.14 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2008. *Standalone results* The company has announced a phenomenal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2008. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 50.93% to Rs 587.32 million from Rs 389.13 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter rose 2.74 times to Rs 10,471.24 million, while total income for the quarter jumped 2.70 times to Rs 10,517.94 million, when compared with the prior year period.
