Aurobindo Pharma, Subhash Projects, Voltas, Thomas Cook, HCL Technologies Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has entered into licensing and supply agreements with US pharma major, Pfizer Inc, for several solid dosage and sterile products. The agreements, the details of which were not disclosed, would give the Hyderabad-based company access to Pfizer’s newly-formed established product business unit to exploit the sales potential for the post loss of exclusivity (LOE) products through its global commercial presence.
Subhash Projects And Marketing Ltd (SPML) one of India’s leading multi- disciplinary infrastructure companies has bagged the Rs 69.37 crore order from the Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board, Karnataka. The textile machinery division of Voltas has entered into an alliance with Thies of Germany to sell and service the German major’s products in India. Thies is a century-old enterprise with global leadership in dyeing equipment. Thomas Cook India, the country’s largest travel-related service provider, said it slashed about 7 per cent of its workforce in 2008 and shut a few of the retail outlets as part of a plan to cut cost and boost profits.The Indian unit of Thomas Cook Group Plc disengaged services of 175 employees from a total workforce of 2,500.
