Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a Rs 345 crore order from Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) for supplying critical equipment for 700 MWe Kakrapar atomic power project near Surat in Gujarat.
L&T would design, manufacture and supply four steam generators for pressurised heavy water reactors (PHWR) for the plant. These generators built in India so far, according to a company release posted Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
