Power Grid Corporation of India today reported a rise of 16.71 per cent in its net profit of Rs 1,690.61 crore for the year-ended March 31, 2009, over the same period last year.
The company had a net profit of Rs 1,448.47 crore in the same period ended March 2008, Power Grid Corporation of India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. Total revenue from operations rose to Rs 6,675.85 crore for the period ended March 2009, from Rs 4,702.47 crore in the same period last year. The board has proposed a dividend of Rs 0.70 a piece.
