Hi everyone!!!! This is a request that has come through a very dear friend R Sridhar, who is also the editor of www.Mumbaimirror.com <http://www.mumbaimirror.com/>. It is his friend Trisha , who has been supporting this organisation that cares for & is home to HIV+ people.
That's why I know this is genuine and so have the audacity to send you this request! Plus, my friend Jumana is already talking to Trisha to find out their needs Each of you is blessed and privileged in so many ways. And I hope that you will find a way to get in touch with this very humane place & touch these lives. They are ok with money or help in kind, so if you check with them, they will tell you their needs, and you can do so even with as little as hundred bucks from your pocket. Just a little bit of heart........ Just a little request: Please do this out of warmth & consideration, but not pity. It must be difficult to live on other people's charity as it is! Request for Donation There is a Home for those who are HIV positive or already in the stage where they have Aids. This Home is in Panvel and run by 5 nuns, who work very hard to help and support these people. It is not aided by the government unfortunately. You will be surprised to know that well educated people who have HIV have been shunned or thrown out of their homes and societies, children and women of all ages, from all walks of life look for solace at this Home in Panvel. They cook, clean and help themselves as much as they can as they don't have many people to look out for them. They are often reduced to road side begging only to support each other. Trisha and her mom have been visiting this home for about 2 years now. However at this point they are in a desperate situation and have requested for help. So i request any 1 who is interested, to kindly give to them in kind or cash. They have basic needs like, soaps, towels, sugar, shampoo, clean clothes anything that can be used from day to day. Cash is also welcome; however we would prefer to give them basic amenities.
