The four one-week trainings will be conducted between November 2010 and June 2011 and will provide intensive training in economics content and pedagogy. Our goal is to develop teams of Trainers who will work together to strengthen the delivery of economic education, particularly in the area of professional development for teachers. The Council for Economic Education will pay for all program-related expenses for accepted applicants, including accommodations (double-room occupancy), meals, transportation, and instructional materials and supplies. The Council for Economic Education receives funding for the Trainers program through the Cooperative Education Exchange Program, which is administered by the U.S. Department of Education and carried out in coordination with the U.S. Department of State. We ask your assistance in distributing the application to outstanding educators. We seek applicants who are committed to providing professional development for school teachers in the area of economics. Ideal candidates will already have a solid background in economics. Applicants should submit the application according to the instructions in the application form. Please note that the deadline for receipt of applications is April 30, 2010. The program overview and application form can also be found at http://www.councilforeconoed.org/ei/apps. Questions regarding the application and selection process can be sent in either Indonesian or English to [email protected].
