Hello Xavante developers.

I have made a minor change which is important to one of my packages (http://github.com/timn/roslua). The change is that Xavante will inquire the used port of the server from the socket, instead of assuming the socket given in the configuration is used. This way, you can give 0 as the port and get an ephemeral port assigned by the OS. This is useful if you use some kind of service discovery or broker to get to know where the webserver is located. In my case Xavante is used to expose an XML-RPC API.

Please consider pulling this patch from http://github.com/timn/xavante and creating a new minor release so that it can wander downstream. In particular this is the following commit: http://github.com/timn/xavante/commit/eebfedf62e7001e6a28e796ef9264c9c443c1162 I had sent a pull request via github a few weeks ago but not gotten a reply, so maybe it was lost.

Regards from Pittsburgh,
        Tim
