In my machine I added the directive to fcgid.conf, here is mine:

<IfModule mod_fcgid.c>
  AddHandler    fcgid-script .lua
  FCGIWrapper "/usr/local/bin/wsapi.fcgi" .lua
  FcgidOutputBufferSize 0
  FcgidConnectTimeout 20
</IfModule>

I think you also need ExecCGI permission on the directory.
