It has long been on my list of interesting things to do to create a LindaDirector. Haven't done it only because our emphasis has been on directors that deliver determinate models of computation. Linda is nondeterminate, but it is just the right model for many applications.
I think that creating such a director would be relatively straightforward (but of course, the devil is in the details). Let me know if you are interested in tackling the task... Edward On 7/18/12 2:43 AM, Patrick Janssen wrote:
I am interested in creating a Linda type of computational model, where actors operate in parallel on data stored in and retrieved from shared, virtual, associative memory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_%28coordination_language%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuple_space What is the best way to do this? Any suggestions? (Or does Ptolemy have features more suited to this?) _______________________________________________ Kepler-users mailing list Kepler-users@kepler-project.org http://lists.nceas.ucsb.edu/kepler/mailman/listinfo/kepler-users
