Hi everybody.
I am dealing with a corrupted Kerberos database here. Unfortunately, a
restore from tape is not quite an option at this point of time. The KDC is
working just fine. Only kdb5_util refuses to dump the database into a file
because of a corrupted entry, regular lookups are okay. Some digging in the
code revealed that all iteration functions bomb out once they encounter a
bad record. That's not cool in my situation. Since I am not able to find any
tool in the krb5 distribution which would allow me to repair the database, I
am probably on my own and have to twiddle around on database level.
Before I start my own coding, I'd like to know if there is anyone out there
who dealt with this before and could share his/her experience with me. Maybe
I could even get my hand on some code fragments.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
