That reminds me of a bug I've been meaning to complain to the Mac
development people about....

The Mac client is not able to deal with a v4/v5 realm where some of
the users are not v4-compatible (e.g., the principal has
REQUIRES_PREAUTH set).  When the v4 init fails, it simply gives up
rather than accepting that this user has v5-only credentials.  (It's
also an INCREDIBLE PITA to configure a new realm in the Mac client, if
you're not set up with Mac development tools.)
