NYC: Fulltime position available for Senior Security Architect Senior Architect for Authentication Solutions will play a highly visible and influential role, and will be the key thought leader and implementer of security authentication technology, with particular emphasis on Kerberos as a core component of distributed systems infrastructure. Will serve as the department's lead Kerberos developer as well as senior consultant participating in application security design reviews, vendor technology assessments and client technical presentations. This group is responsible for engineering security technology for internal, intranet, mobile device and authentication purposes. Kerberos has been chosen as the primary authentication tool. Immediate project is to migrate Kerberos from Cybersafe to MIT Open Source on the server (client migration has been completed). Requirements: In-depth knowledge of Kerberos architecture and protocols, and at least five years experience in C++ and Unix systems development (system calls, IPC, sockets). Hands-on experience implementing and testing Kerberos tools and code infrastructure. Some working knowledge of networking protocols and LDAP/Active Directory is required. Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, physics, math, etc.). Effective written and verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate key points of technical issues to less technical audiences. Desired: In-depth knowledge of network protocols. Working knowledge of any of the following is a plus: ACE/SecurID, RADIUS, IPSec, L2TP, VPN, Voice Authentication, TSS, Mainframe Kerberos, PKI and ASP.NET security.
