It could be, it just requires minimal changes in the drakxtools. But since when the kernel team policy is to externalize kernel modules? And we already have the rt2400/rt2500/rt2570 (with very similar code) as kernel thirdparty modules in the main kernel, so it would be logical to include rt61 as a thirdparty module as well.
