Title:
Thunderbolt dock usb ports not working
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I have a Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 Gen 2 dock and wanted to use this with
Ubuntu 21.10. When booting an unmodified version the usb ports do not
work. After an inspection with journalctl I find the error message "No
bus number available for hot-added bridge" and a google search led me
to this workaround: Add pci=realloc,assign-busses,hpbussize=0x33. This
line as a boot parameter makes the dock work as intended. I believe
this should be fixed so that people using the live image can see that
their hardware works as intended before installing.
