How am I going to do this?
It still means I have to probe a lot of Kernels - and I do not know how to find
out whether there's trouble unless I send my laptop to sleep and wait at least
minutes up to an hour to see whether the CPU cools down or heats up! :-(
This is so mad....

Title:
[Dell XPS L702X] Standby does not work anymore - system drains battery
  and overheats

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Since this kernel version, my system won't go into standby correctly
  anymore!

I noticed it several times that the laptop battery on my Dell XPS 17
(L702x) with Core i7 processor was empty when I wanted to resume after
standby, but now I investigated further and noticed that the case is
EXTREMELY hot when it is in standby.

Don't know what you need to investigate this, but this has not been the case
for years now.
Maybe it is even harmful to the system, as fans are off and all, but the
processor works on and on!

  Please help!!
