Does this issue go away if you boot into a previous kernel? If not, this is probably a BIOS bug, which would need to be addressed by the hardware manufacturer.

This value will remain permanently on 84% and will never reach 100% when plugged into the mains. The little light on the power cable lights up as green colour suggesting battery is at fully charged, thus confirming there is some kind of miscommunication between my hardware and xubuntu/kernel. This could be an Asus BIOS fault rather than a bug. Either way, I'd appreciate a fix. Prior to this BIOS update, my battery reached 100%. I'm using XUBUNTU 13.04 (upgraded from 12.10) (An additional issue is that the fan also seems a little more active than it was before the update, but this may perhaps need to be put into a seperate bug report.)
