kaxing: So how do these compare to stock vivid? BSW at least is so buggy
still that S3 failure is pretty much expected, and the HSW resume time
is likely due to some other driver.

Title:
[i915_bpo] Update driver code to 4.1-rc1 + backported fixes

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged
Status in linux source package in Vivid:
  Triaged

Bug description:
The current i915_bpo driver code is based on drm-intel-next tag which
is roughly two weeks short of what got applied in 4.1-rc1. Fix that by
pulling the diff. Also, add backports from current drm-intel-next
branch to fix bugs and add support for 90/270 degree rotation.

This all needs further backports from 4.0/4.1-rc1 to core drm on the
new atomic helpers, which are only used by i915_bpo and not any other
  driver.
