Found out that sleep/suspension works fine with nvidia-current installed.
Figured I would have to uninstall it.

Then I downloaded
linux-image-3.11.0-999-generic_3.11.0-999.201309050424_amd64.deb,
linux-headers-3.11.0-999-generic_3.11.0-999.201309050424_amd64.deb

When doing "sudo dpkg -i *.deb" I've got an error:

 The result now when starting the new kernel from grub is that I can log
in, but the screen turns black (only the cursor is visible)
and then an error-popup message shows 3 or 4 times.
