  Kernel doesn't detect media in CD/DVD drives

Bug description:
  After upgrading from Karmic to Lucid Beta 1, my CD/DVD drive stops
  working (it doesn't detects inserted media). When I insert a CD or
  DVD, the light flashes but nothing more happens.

  It's the first time I have a non-working CD/DVD drive under Ubuntu
