It's hard to tell. The Asus A88XM-A has a Asus UEFI BIOS which provided
me with that option, by default it's turned off but I turned it on way
back before this problem and it worked fine until this problem started.
Turning it off seemed to fixed the problem in my case. In your case you
are having a HP BIOS so HP created that BIOS and did not provided you
with that option to switch it on or off.

However since a month I upgraded my system and changed my motherboard
and CPU to a Intel based system which doesn't have this feature called
IOMMU. However with my new motherboard I don't have any problems . Maybe
it's a AMD system based bug or in your case maybe the error is coming
from somewhere else.

Sorry I couldn’t help so much.

Title:
  IO_PAGE_FAULT

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Since a couple of weeks I'm experiencing a problem with my
motherboard. For some reason the network goes randomly offline and I
get a error messages about AMD-Vi.

  [ 6462.248434] AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT device=04:00.0
  domain=0x0019 address=0x0000000000003000 flags=0x0050]

I didn't changed anything except for the internet modem is changed and
I installed updates as I always do. When using google I see there are
more people with this problem exactly the same motherboard, I find
this strange because my pc is almost a year old and I never had this
problem. Could it be a problem in the kernel of *ubuntu 14.04?
