Nicolas Repentin, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .
If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number> Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Please do not test the daily kernel folder, but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For example: kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.11.1 This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER As well, please remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your understanding. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete ** Attachment removed: "WifiSyslog.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474847/+files/WifiSyslog.txt ** Attachment removed: "UdevLog.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474846/+files/UdevLog.txt ** Attachment removed: "UdevDb.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474845/+files/UdevDb.txt ** Attachment removed: "ProcModules.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474844/+files/ProcModules.txt ** Attachment removed: "ProcInterrupts.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474843/+files/ProcInterrupts.txt ** Attachment removed: "ProcCpuinfo.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474842/+files/ProcCpuinfo.txt ** Attachment removed: "PciMultimedia.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474841/+files/PciMultimedia.txt ** Attachment removed: "Lspci.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474839/+files/Lspci.txt ** Attachment removed: "Lsusb.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474840/+files/Lsusb.txt ** Attachment removed: "Dependencies.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474838/+files/Dependencies.txt ** Attachment removed: "Card2.Amixer.values.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474836/+files/Card2.Amixer.values.txt ** Attachment removed: "Card0.Codecs.codec97.0.ac97.0.0.regs.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474835/+files/Card0.Codecs.codec97.0.ac97.0.0.regs.txt ** Attachment removed: "CurrentDmesg.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474837/+files/CurrentDmesg.txt ** Attachment removed: "Card0.Codecs.codec97.0.ac97.0.0.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474834/+files/Card0.Codecs.codec97.0.ac97.0.0.txt ** Attachment removed: "Card0.Amixer.values.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474833/+files/Card0.Amixer.values.txt ** Attachment removed: "BootDmesg.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474832/+files/BootDmesg.txt ** Attachment removed: "ArecordDevices.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474831/+files/ArecordDevices.txt ** Attachment removed: "AlsaDevices.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474829/+files/AlsaDevices.txt ** Attachment removed: "AplayDevices.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/565318/+attachment/1474830/+files/AplayDevices.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/565318 Title: freeze at logon Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: linux-firmware-nonfree Hi, I've got a freeze of 30 sec at logon on karmic and lucid, which is caused by my tuner card : [ 9.650010] tda829x 0-004b: setting tuner address to 60 [ 9.780029] tda829x 0-004b: type set to tda8290+75a [ 16.180010] tda1004x: setting up plls for 48MHz sampling clock [ 18.950011] tda1004x: timeout waiting for DSP ready [ 19.050010] tda1004x: found firmware revision 0 -- invalid [ 19.050013] tda1004x: trying to boot from eeprom [ 21.430015] tda1004x: timeout waiting for DSP ready [ 21.530015] tda1004x: found firmware revision 0 -- invalid [ 21.530017] tda1004x: waiting for firmware upload...
