The output is like this: ERROR: Cannot open display 'Ubuntu:0.0'. ERROR: Cannot open display 'Ubuntu:0.1'. ERROR: Unable to assign attribute CursorShadow specified on line 21 of configuration file '/home/user/.nvidia-settings-rc' (no Display connection). ...and so on until the last line. This results in default display settings at reboot. Unchecking the abovementioned option removes the 'Ubuntu:0.' before the display number, letting the settings file load successfully.
