At first I thought the issue showed up right after boot, but now I'm no longer sure. Could be just the ondemand governor ramping up the frequency because of all that CPU activity during boot/login. In normal circumstances the laptop's idle temperature is about +48–49°C. When this bug happens, temperature rises steadily until it reaches about +72°C.
