Title: ZFS: send fails to transmit some holes [corruption] Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Status in zfs-linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux source package in Xenial: Fix Committed Status in zfs-linux source package in Xenial: Fix Released Bug description: https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/commit/c352ec27d5c5ecea8f6af066258dfd106085eaac "In certain circumstances, "zfs send -i" (incremental send) can produce a stream which will result in incorrect sparse file contents on the target. The problem manifests as regions of the received file that should be sparse (and read a zero-filled) actually contain data from a file that was deleted (and which happened to share this file's object ID)." This bug causes data corruption, and has privacy/security implications. I think we need to get this fix into Xenial ASAP.
