This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed- wily' to 'verification-done-wily'.
If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. But, with 4K pages and a MAX_ZONEORDER of 11, we can only allocate 32K. The upstream approach to resolve this will likely be to make the core GIC a proper device that can use the DMA API: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg487748.html However - that's a pretty big change, and will take a while to land. Until that time, I propose that we bump MAX_ZONEORDER up to 13 for the generic kernel.
