I have tested on a new laptop (acer c910 chromebook ) using Linux Mint 17.3 (Rosa) XFCE 64 bits with kernel 3.19.0-32-generic X86_64 and all OK.
This time Ipod was mounted using xhci_hcd. 2016-09-20 12:09 GMT+02:00, [email protected] <[email protected]>: > Installed kernel mainline > linux-headers-4.8.0-040800rc7_4.8.0-040800rc7.201609182130_all.deb > > the same problem, the ipod shuffle 2nd generation not reconigzed ( > now there is not messages with tail -f /var/logsyslog) > > - Probed with kali 4.3.0-kali1-amd64 Debian 4.3.3-5kali4 X86_64 > (into the same notebook) and NOT RECONIGZED (but appears the > repetitive messages into syslog ) > > Only at another notebook (32bist) with Lubuntu with kernel 4.4.0-22 goes > OK. > > Ipod is vendor-> 05ac product 1301 > > The systems where do NOT goes is using xhci_hcd on usb port. > > The system where all OK is using ehci-pci on the usb port > > > 2016-09-16 19:25 GMT+02:00, Joseph Salisbury > <[email protected]>: >> Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade?
