Hello, Not at the moment : simply adding this commit allow makedumpfile to run but it generates many other error messages that are currently investigated. There is an incompatibility between makedumpfile and 4.8 kernels that make the result of makedumpfile unreliable.
I am currently working with upstream on identifying and fixing the issue. Kind regards, Louis -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to makedumpfile in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1626269 Title: Ubuntu 16.10: kdump is not working in 4.8 kernel.
