Title:
Need a patched 4.9 kernel to compile nvidia drivers
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Status in virtualbox package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
As the unstable kernel ppa now has 4.9 kernel, i've installed it on a
system using a nvidia-370/375 driver, but both fails at compile dkms
time.
This is an identified problem and a proposed patch is already ready:
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/972761/linux/linux-4-9-git-rc1-375-10-build-errors/
Could the kernel team include that patch as there is no workable
nvidia driver yet ?
