Title:
Nokia CS-10 usb modem can't connect on Ubuntu 12.04

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I can't connect using my nokia CS-10 usb modem, usb-modeswitch fails
when trying to change mode. I have tested my modem in two different
machines with fresh installs of ubuntu 12.04 and the result was the
  same in both of them.

Here is the output of dmesg for the device :

I attached usb-modeswitch log for more information, as I can see in
file, modeswitch falls in a loop searching for the device. I have
tested the modem too in fedora 16 and chakra linux updated to last
version, the usb modem works fine, that lets me think its an ubuntu
  related bug.
