Title:
Wireless Key On Compaq C57 Displays False Blue Light

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Here's the deal: The f12 key is the wireless key on the CQ57.
Regardless whether the wireless is on or off the blue key stays on
which contributed to the below thread. I feel this is an issue as
until I ran rfkill list I didn't have a clue and then I had to
continue to troubleshoot until I realized that the blue light was
  giving a false reading.

  president@OffGridOps:~$ rfkill list
  1: hp-wifi: Wireless LAN
  Soft blocked: no
  Hard blocked: yes
  president@OffGridOps:~$ sudo iwlist sca
  [sudo] password for president:
  lo Interface doesn't support scanning.

  eth0 Interface doesn't support scanning.

ra0 Interface doesn't support scanning : Network is down

I found the solution to get it running, but the documentation should be noted
somewhere and the blue light issue fixed:
