I can reproduce this in saucy and on mainline (3.12.0-031200rc6-generic). It is specific to i686.
My guess is that a size_t is being used when a loff_t is needed. I'm looking into it now. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Tyler Hicks (tyhicks) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1243636 Title: ecryptfs currupts files over 4GB size Status in eCryptfs: Triaged Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: on extracting files with extracted size >4 GB files are getting currupted. interestingly file gets currupted in the very moment the file size gets more than 4GB.
