Title: Error rt2800usb driver → TP-Link TL-WDN3200 usb dongle does not work Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hello, I am working on a fully up to date Linux Mint 18.1 Serena with Ubuntu Xenial repos. When i plug in the TP-Link TL-WDN3200 usb dongle, the usb device is discovered and the (to what I know) appropriate driver rt2870 is loaded. After a short time span of 5-15 seconds, dmesg is flooded by the alternating error message several times each second: [Mi Jun 28 08:41:35 2017] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00usb_vendor_request: Error - Vendor Request 0x07 failed for offset 0x1004 with error -110 [Mi Jun 28 08:41:35 2017] ieee80211 phy0: rt2x00usb_vendor_request: Error - Vendor Request 0x06 failed for offset 0x1004 with error -110 This also partially freezes the system, until I physically remove the device. The time I made the dmesg log attached, I was even able to connect to an AP, sometimes even this is not possible. The installed version of linux-firmware is 1.157.11. Thanks for any help!
