168c:001c wireless card malfunction

Hello,
I have a compaq CQ-50 135em, I am almost sure it has a card with 5007eg
atheros chipset. But the system recognises it as a 5001. Well, it has a button
on the top of the keyboard

this is the cq60, but the button in the photo is the blue one. In linux 9.04,
it did not recognise the button and the card was always switched on. Now, the
button works, but as it doesn't change of colour, I don't know if it is
switched on or not, and that is worst than not working.
I tried to configure it myself, but as I don't know so much of linux,
I have to report this bug. If you need some more info, or whatever
