Almost a year after Nial's comment above, 16.04 is at LTS and yet this
is STILL an issue for me. His suggestion worked, but caused another
issue: my chosen resolution settings no longer stick. I go into Display
Configuration, change it to my monitor's native resolution (1440x900)
and click Apply, which works but it resets to 1024x768 upon reboot. This
is all from within a VirtualBox 5.1.26 VM installed on Mac OS X 10.12.5.
Is there a VM setting that might need tweaking? Any help to solve this
extremely frustrating issue would be very much appreciated!
