Title:
package linux-image-4.10.0-32-generic (not installed) failed to
install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error
exit status 1
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Installed from lubuntu-17.04_alternate.iso without network access.
After install, system first booted with network access and drew another
270-something MegaBytes, among which language-pack and some libraries and
applications etc. of which the linux-image proved problematic.
Unfortunately I don't know what other information you might need. My hardware
however is a Lenovo/IBM THinkpad T40 (type 2373-42G) in a dual-boot
configuration with Win. XP both residing on one disk.
I wish us all success and luck where needed. Thanks!
