Since I'm restarting the bisect, it might be good to test the latest
mainline kernel.  That will tell us if this bug is already fixed
upstream.  The latest mainline kernel is available from:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.14-rc5/

Bug description:
  After kernel upgrade from 4.10.0-35 to 4.10.0-37 Ubuntu 17.04 works extremely 
slow.
  The reason is that i915 driver is UNCLAIMED now.

  Error from Xorg logs is:
  [ 56749.198] (EE) /dev/dri/card0: failed to set DRM interface version 1.4: 
Permission denied
