Title:
4.4.0-109 kernel panic upon boot with AMD Athlon II X3 455

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After upgrade to 4.4.0-109, the system won't boot any more.

At the first boot tentative, the following message is shown and the system
freezes:
"Failure reading sector 0xbbcfd0 from hd0"

Upon retry, a kernel panic is shown (see attached screen hard copy)

Going back to 4.4.0-104.127-generic solved the problem.

I've been able to reproduce this bug in a consistent way: I tried
several times to go boot into 4.0.0-109 and the system froze with the
described behaviour, but booting into 4.0.0-104 always worked.

I have checked the bug reports concerning kernel panic after upgrade
to 4.4.0-108, but this problem seems to be different: I experience
this problem after upgrading to 4.4.0-109, which presumably fixed the
problem reported the other bug reports (I don't know if my
configuration would've worked with 108, because I have not updated
  during a week)
