Title:
  broken conffile symlink left behind on upgrade

Status in zfs-linux package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
  The information attached to this report will claim that /etc/zfs/zed.d
  /zed-functions.sh is a modified conffile because it has been
  "deleted". What it actually is, is a dangling symlink.

  lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root    45 Feb 17  2017 /etc/zfs/zed.d/zed-
  functions.sh -> /usr/lib/zfs-linux/zfs/zed.d/zed-functions.sh

  I also have /etc/zfs/zed.d/zed-functions.sh.dpkg-new which is a real
  file but has not been installed.

  zfs-zed needs to correctly handle this transition on upgrade.
