This is a regression. All was fine before upgrade from 17.10 to 18.04.
Also worth noting is that previously, wired connections were named eg Realtek
Ethernet Connected, Intel Ethernet Connected instead of PCI Ethernet Connected
and Ethernet Connected

Title:
PCI network card (r8169) UNCLAIMED at boot

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
2 network interfaces installed - Intel and Realtek. Intel (onboard) no
problem. Realtek (PCI Express) not loaded at boot.
lshw -C network (after boot) shows
   *-network UNCLAIMED
         description: Ethernet controller
product: RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller
         vendor: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.
         physical id: 0
         bus info: pci@0000:05:00.0
         version: 06
         width: 64 bits
         clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm msi pciexpress msix vpd cap_list
         configuration: latency=0
         resources: ioport:d000(size=256) memory:f7c00000-f7c00fff
memory:f0000000-f0003fff

sudo modprobe -r r8169 & sudo modprobe r8169 loads driver

  lshw -C network then gives
