When you applied the patch to the 4.4.0-122 kernel did you have to perform any backporting? I had to with my test kernel, so maybe I didn't perform the backport properly.
I'll do some investigating to see if a prereq patch is needed, so we don't have to do any backporting. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770423 Title: Please cherry-pick upstream patch for HDMI on Dell XPS 9360 Status in linux package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in linux source package in Xenial: In Progress Bug description: Connecting the Dell USB-C HDMI/LAN/VGA/USB adapter to my XPS 9360 doesn’t quite work: I could not get my monitor to display a picture at all, regardless of which resolution I tried.
