I've updated the bios some months ago and now the mp4 player mounts and opens just fine without the workaround. I can copy and write data, but once I got an input/output splicing error. But for the rest everything seems functional. Btw, I used to get a lot of gpu hangs, but with the bios update its much better, now its not a daily occurence but more of a weekly thing. Anyway thats another topic.

Also when I do a restart when the device is plugged into the usb 2.0 port the computer won't get past to the bios screen. EDIT: strangely it will now. ?? the device still functions, as do my usb ports.
