Title:
PDFs Don't Print from Document Viewer
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
After upgrading from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 (via CLI) I'm unable to
print PDF documents from the Document Viewer application. When I try
to print a PDF from Document Viewer, the PDF stays in the printer
queue with status = "Processing".
Steps to reproduce:
- Open PDF using Document Viewer
- press ctrl-P
- print dialog opens
- choose desired printer, pages-to-print, etc.
- click Print
Expected:
- document prints
Actual:
- document sits in printer queue with status = "processing"
Workaround 1) Open the PDF file using a web browser, and print successfully
from the browser.
Workaround 2) From Document Viewer, choose "Preview", and from the
print-preview click the printer icon to print the preview.
