Title:
Intalling and booting fail on Dell Vostro 3450

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I apologize in advance as I am a novice Linux user, but I thought this
issue should be reported in some fashion. I tried to install Linux
Mint 19 with the iso on CD with the original kernel 4.15.0-20 and I am
now on 4.15.0-39. The LM logo strobes constantly on install and
scrolls syntax on the left side of the screen showing a failure that I
can not read. After activating the "Compatibility Mode" I was able to
get it installed but still have problems booting the system as stated
above. The LM logo continues to strobe and run syntax etc but if the
Enter key and Esc key are pressed repeatedly it will eventually boot
after which I have no other problems with the operating system. I have
attached everything I can comprehend and look forward to a resolution
  ASAP.

  When running ubuntu-bug linux

  chris@numi:~$ ubuntu-bug linux
