It works fine until I suspend the laptop, such as by closing the lid, then resuming, at which point it immediately stops working. - A workaround is to restart the machine if this type of input is desired - and the machine was previously suspended since the last time it was - booted. Another workaround is to simply log out and back in. - Keyboard and touchpad (mouse) still work while the bug is active.
