Title:
  Keyboard/tochpad issues

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I have been running Unbuntu 18 for some time now. Everything works
great. But I do have a few issues.

  Acer Aspire E3-111 with 8MB DDR3 L Memory.

#1 Keyboards seems to lose its mapping. Backspace/Del and arrow keys
seem to not work sometimes. I might use the "FN' with Arrow up/Volume
  up. But only sometimes.

#2 My Touchpad will stop working all of the sudden. So I have a USB
wireless mouse and it always works. From time to time the mouse might
  start working again.

I have wanted to do a clean install to see if the problems continue,
however, I am unable to. For some reason after installing Ubuntu, I am
not able to access the Bios. Somehow an Admin password has been set. I
found a site https://bios-pw.org/ that I can get a key and I can
access however it will not let me chance boot options and save. So I
am unable to boot from USB or USB-CDRom. I wish I knew how to flash
the Bios. The only way that I found is to create a Windows 10 boot USB
and upgrade. But I cannot boot from USB :). is there a way to
install/Factory Reset, over Ubuntu from with in? Kind of a clean
  install?
