Title:
[19.04 FEAT] KVM : Support for configurable virtio-crypto
Status in Ubuntu on IBM z Systems:
Fix Released
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
Description: Enable KVM guests to use the virtio-crypto device to
perform all crypto algorithms provided by the hypervisor crypto
backend. This is done by implementing a handshake between the guest
driver and host backend.
Business Value: Increased flexibility by decoupling guest and host
virtio-crypto capabilities and better compatibility between guest and
host in the case of software upgrades.
kernel 4.19:
C: crypto: virtio - Read crypto services and algorithm masks [b551bac14a]
C: crypto: virtio - Register an algo only if it's supported [d0d859bb87]
