Title:
  Kubuntu 18.04 does not display through mini-DP port on lenovo Helix 2

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  (This is probably related to bug 1816860, but with different hardware
  and a different appearance, so it is filed separately.)

  Using the levovo Helix 2 attached to its Pro keyboard, it is not possible to
activate the monitor as attached.
  The monitor is attached with a mini-DP-to-HDMI cable to the monitor (SONY),
and is - in this case, contrary to the bug mentioned before - detected as can
be seen by xrandr.
  But then it gives up after some time (see attachment of System Settings
started from CLI and Xorg.log:
  $ tail /var/log/Xorg.0.log

  (and so it continues).

  Connecting the tablet of the convertable itself with a micro-HDMI-to-
  HDMI to that same monitor works fine, however.
