I think the SSD report looks clean. I'm thinking that maybe there is a
way to store whatever happened and then go to read only?? maybe that way
I can get a glimpse of what may be going on. I read about a similiar
issue with Samsung drives, but none of the software there actually
applies to patriot drives.

  Upgraded SSD to Patritot Burst 240MB and now sda1 ext4 goes read only

Bug description:
  at random times, the computer just goes read only and if I go to command line 
screen (by trying to reset the computer or trying to exit the desktop) this is 
what I get:

  unfortunatelly I cannot actually save any of the report to text so its not 
possible to paste, but a picture is worth about 732 words.
