You have been subscribed to a public bug: With any kernel starting from 4.18-rc1, if the system has an Intel GPU and suffers a GPU hang, the system will crash a bit later, mostly when another demanding tasks is started or finished.
This crash or leaves nothing in the logs or ends corrupting the logs, making it nigh impossible to get relevant information about it. The crash was observed after GPU hangs caused by multiple applications, from web browsers to games using DXVK. The upstream bug is at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107945 While this bug is not new on upstream, soon Ubuntu Bionic Beaver will have 4.18 available, so I think it's relevant to report this here too.
